Part of the goal for many, including myself, is to lose weight during their sugar addiction recovery.  If I stop eating so much sugar, so much food, I will surely lose weight.  It is likely.  What is your motive for losing weight though?  Is it to be happy?  Do you think losing the weight will make you happy?  It may.  Temporarily.

Lysa shares the curse of the skinny jeans in chapter twelve of “Made to Crave.”  We can celebrate reaching the size we strive to reach in our jeans.  BUT, no matter what size we may reach, the jeans will only fill us with a temporary happy.  Jesus needs to be the ultimate filler of my heart and my source of happiness.

For the sake of our journey, I encourage you to envision how you will feel at your goal weight/size.  Think about the lack of health care needs, the increased energy, etc. over the size.  Think about how you will be able to glorify God in a great way with the increased energy.  Then, seek God with each food choice.  Seek to eat the foods he has provided for us.
