To eat the cake or not to eat the cake is the question we often mill around in our heads when “dieting” during a celebration. First of all, I am not a fan of the word “diet” in the meaning we are most familiar. My goal in this series is to decrease and eliminate your sugar addiction aka cravings. So when you are present at say, a birthday party, maybe think “will I be able to eat that one piece of cake and NOT crave more?” This is the question. Eat the cake. Enjoy it. IF you can be aware and not let it be a downward spiral to a lot more sugar; you can eat it. This is my perspective in regards to the content of sugar in most cake, without considering any other ingredients that may or may not be in a piece of cake. Now…. it is my birthday today so i will be having something sweet today or tomorrow. Cake? Maybe not. Maybe ice cream. The key is not letting myself binge on the sweet addiction.
