Sugar Addiction Recovery: Accountability

Sugar Addiction Recovery

Day #10

This is where the rubber meats the road, so to speak, for me.  I believe in moderation when it comes to sweets, processed carbs, etc.  This moderation means not in our home but permissible other places some.  Typically, this works pretty well for me.  However, this upcoming week, I will cut it out again.  Then, I hope to get more of a 90/10 balance versus an 80/20 balance.  This sugar addiction detox or sugar detox is to help reset the balance.

A key to success is having accountability set into your plan.  Lysa Terkeurst even mentions this in chapter four of “Made to Crave.”  She recommends finding someone that has gone before you, someone to do this with you and/or someone to pray for you through the process.  Do you have a friend that is willing to speak truth to you?  Pray for you?  Maybe join in on the journey?  Let me know in the comments.

Join me here each day, and on Facebook.  Leave me a comment or send me a message.  I am more than happy to encourage and pray for you.  Starting now. . .

Dear God,  I pray for those reading my words today and in this series.  Would you please meet them and me, where we are in our eating healthy journey?  Would you please give us the courage and perseverance to make the necessary changes, to have victory in our health battles?  We thank you for the gift of the health we enjoy today, remembering those that pray to you tonight for health like our own.  May we not take it for granted, may we not forget each day and each breath is by your grace.  Lord, would you give us friends that will hold us accountable in our choices and pray for us?  Thank you.  In Jesus Name, Amen.
